What the hell is Jimmy Graham doing?

You might not have heard the name Jimmy Graham in a while. He is most known for playing TE for the Saints, Packers, and maybe the Bears, but that was near the end of his career. For a while with the Saints, he was unguardable at 6'7", could jump out of the gym, and just terrorized everyone he played against. These days, he is an avid flyer; planes, helicopters, you name it.

He has his eye set on a new challenge now.

His best friend is a retired Navy SEAL, and in retirement, he said he wanted to take on the challenge of rowing across an ocean. Graham originally blew off the idea, but after one night of drinking at said friend's graduation from Cambridge with an MBA, he convinced Graham, and the Arctic Challenge 2025 was born. Drunkenly in a bar… is there anything better?

His team of four is not going into this ill-prepared. They are getting multiple certifications; they have the best coaches with multiple world records, but Jimmy has never rowed. Good thing he has plenty of time to practice.

The strategy is to beat the time record of 15 days for the specific trek, I am assuming. To do so, the team will row two hours on and two hours off, and when he isn't rowing, Graham will lead navigation and continuously check weather.

For this to qualify as a world record, there will be no chase boat or support. Just the four-man team in a 30-foot carbon fiber rowboat.

They are not only chasing world records but also doing it for charity that Jimmy has stayed close with in New Orleans.

Good luck to the team as we will no doubt be following along closely.
